<br />Consulting Services Agreement between Fiber Conduit for Broadband <br />City of San Leandro and Kier & Wright Exhibit A Page 1 of 2 <br />EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The City is preparing for the expansion of San Leandro's fiber optic network (Lit San Leandro) with <br />installation of conduit for fiber optic communications at various street segments throughout the city. The <br />project will provide approximately seven miles of underground conduit and splice boxes ready for future <br />fiber optic cable installation. <br />Scope <br /> <br />This contract is for production of a base map to be used in the design of installing the underground conduit. <br />Consultant shall provide planimetric surveys of the segments listed on the following page. The survey area <br />shall extend to the full width of the right-of-way and at segment ends shall include the full width of the <br />intersecting cross street. The survey shall include the locations of all curbs, gutters, sidewalks, driveways, <br />bus stops, benches, trees, signs, signals, street lights, fire hydrants, bollards, cabinets, utility boxes, <br />covers, valves, all surface evident utilities and improvements. Where a building abuts the sidewalk, the <br />doorway shall be shown. The survey shall be a line drawing, i.e. all features shall be drafted. An aerial <br />photo of the features is not a substitute for drafting. <br /> <br />Delineation of property boundaries, elevations, contours and underground utilities is not included. <br /> <br />Deliverables <br /> <br />AutoCAD file of the survey (along with the appropriate pen-setting (.ctb) file) and one stamped and signed <br />hard copy. The file format shall be AutoCAD 2000 through 2007 and shall be viewable using AutoCAD LT. <br />If aerial photography is used then a copy of the rectified photo files shall be submitted. <br /> <br />Survey will be completed within eight weeks of receiving Notice To Proceed. <br /> <br /> <br />
