IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2013-086 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF <br /> SAN LEANDRO AND THE ALAMEDA COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR THE <br /> FIRE TRAINING CENTER LOCATED AT 890 LOLA STREET FOR <br /> $130,000 PER ANNUM, INCREASING BY 3.5% ANNUALLY <br /> WHEREAS,the City of San Leandro ("City")has leased the Alameda County Fire <br /> Department("ACFD")the property known as the Fire Training Center since 1995 for the purpose <br /> of emergency training; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City and the ACFD wish to continue their cooperative relationship and <br /> allow training on the site; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City wishes to spread the burden of the lease with all member agencies of <br /> the ACFD; and <br /> WHEREAS,the lease is for a ten-year term,which will expire June 30,2023,unless both <br /> parties agree to extend the term; and <br /> WHEREAS,the lease contains details about maintenance and use of the site; and <br /> WHEREAS,under the lease ACFD will pay the City an initial monthly rental fee in the <br /> amount of$10,782. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> That said lease agreement between the City and ACFD is hereby approved and execution <br /> by the City Manager is hereby authorized. <br /> Introduced by Councilmember Souza and passed and adopted this 17th day of June, <br /> 2013, by the following vote: <br /> Members of the Council: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Cutter, Gregory, Lee, Prola, Reed, Souza; Mayor Cassidy (7) <br /> NOES: None (0) <br /> ABSENT: None (0) <br /> O <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
