J. The applicant shall comply with the regulations and provisions contained in the <br /> City's Grading Ordinance, the City's Storm Water Pollution Prevention Permit, and <br /> the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), to the satisfaction of <br /> the City Engineer. More information may be found at www.cleanwaterprogram.org. <br /> (Note: Available upon request from the City of San Leandro Engineering and <br /> Transportation Department is the 'Stormwater Requirements Checklist', for guidance <br /> in evaluating the project for stormwater requirements.). <br /> K. The applicant shall comply with the following high standards for sanitation during the <br /> construction of the improvements: Garbage cans, construction dumpsters, and debris <br /> piles shall be removed on a minimum weekly basis. All food related trash items such <br /> as wrappers, cans, bottles, and food scraps shall be disposed of in closed containers <br /> only and shall be regularly removed from the site. Inspections, conducted as part of <br /> the regular construction compliance, will be performed to ensure compliance of the <br /> applicant and contractors with this requirement. <br /> L. All rainwater from the roofs of the new buildings shall be treated prior to discharge <br /> into storm drain system. The applicant shall prepare and submit the treatment plan to <br /> the City Engineer for approval prior to grading permit approval. <br /> M. All on-site storm drain inlets shall be labeled "No Dumping — Drains to Bay" using <br /> thermoplastic paint. <br /> N. Interior floor drains shall be plumbed to the sanitary sewer system and shall not be <br /> connected to storm drains. <br /> 0. The applicant shall prevent spills and properly manage those that happen by <br /> immediately cleaning the spills with rags, absorbents, or wet dry vacuum. Fluids shall <br /> not accumulate or run across surfaces. The applicant shall never wash spills down, or <br /> allow spills to flow into storm or sewer drain inlet. Clean up absorbents immediately <br /> following their use. <br /> P. The applicant shall agree to a right-of-entry for the inspection of stormwater <br /> treatment measures and shall submit a signed Stormwater Operation and Maintenance <br /> (O&M) Agreement prior to grading permit approval. <br /> Fire Department Requirements <br /> Q. An automatic fire sprinkler shall be provided in the additions. <br /> R. If the dry storage area is used for high piled storage, the area shall comply with <br /> California Fire Code Chapter 23, which may include but is not limited to require <br /> smoke and heat vents and additional access doors. <br /> S. A Fire Department permit shall be obtained prior to commencing work to modify <br /> the fire sprinkler system and fire hydrant. <br /> T.
