Advanced search
Three: > MetroScan integration 20 TBD
Enhancements > Other integration
WinResources proposes to conduct each stage of the project to design, build and implement the
BL module in three phases, according to our time-tested project management framework,
WinSF, as follows:
Phase I: Planning
In the planning phase we will flesh out the specific business requirements, business rules, data
requirements, and work flow requirements and design the application. The resulting deliverable
is a Functional Specification, a document that describes how the system will work. Some
contact will be required with City staff during this phase for getting questions answered and for
approval of the Functional Specification.
Phase II: Development
During development we design, build and unit-test the application. The result is a code
complete system ready for system testing. System test plans are developed during this phase
and logistical issues are identified and resolved in preparation for Alpha and Beta testing and
Final Release. Little involvement should be required from City staff during this phase other than
with technical folks for integration, deployment, and operational planning.
Phase Ill: Stabilization
The stabilization phase is all about testing and squashing bugs. First, the Winresources team
conducts system tests internally to ensure a stabile product and to find critical bugs. Following
that, Alpha testing provides the first look and use to City staff in key positions. Once Alpha
testing has uncovered and resolved, all high- and medium-priority bugs, a wider Beta test
begins. All frequent users will typically be involved in some part of the Beta testing process to
some degree. The stabilization phase also includes administrator training, user training, users'
guides, etc. The phase ends in a successful release to production with onsite operational
support provided by WinResources, as necessary.
Proposal Pricing
The following table itemizes the expected costs for the City of San Leandro. Note: This pricing
is not indicative of the price Winresources would charge other customers for the completed
product, and is significantly less (approximately 80% less)than the effort which Winresources
estimates it will expend developing the product.
Item Cost
Business License module-Stage One (all inclusive) ' 5,000
Business License module—Stage Two (all inclusive) $154.000
Page 4 of 5
EXHIBIT A-1
3 0
