CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 <br />Limited English Proficient (LEP) Plan <br />Request for Language Assistance <br /> <br /> <br />Assistance for Limited English Proficient Populations <br /> <br />The City San Leandro is committed to helping people with limited proficiency in the English language <br />access our essential public information and services. The City of San Leandro works to ensure that all <br />persons have meaningful access to our programs, services and information, free of charge. The City of <br />San Leandro has procedures in place to assist San Leandro employees, employers and residents who are <br />not proficient in the English language. <br /> <br />The City’s Plan for Special Language Services to Limited English Proficient Populations is available to <br />read online. Interested persons also may request copies by calling the Public Information telephone <br />number at 510-577-3314. <br /> <br />REQUEST ASSISTANCE <br /> <br />Do you need a sign language interpreter or other assistance? <br /> <br />Is English your second language? Do you need one of our documents translated? Do you need an <br />interpreter who speaks your language present at one of our meetings? <br /> <br />If you answered yes to any of these questions, we can help. You can contact a Language Assist <br />Coordinator by calling 510-577-3351 or calling 510-577-3343 for TDD/TTY, or emailing <br />LanguageAssist@sanleandro.org. We require at least three days’ notice to provide reasonable <br />accommodations, but we prefer more notice if possible. We will make every effort to arrange for <br />assistance.
