SAN LEANDRO ADMINISTRATIVE CODE TITLE 2 CITY MANAGER <br /> Chapter 4 Regulation of Professional Filming and Videotaping <br /> §2.4.100: PERMIT REQUIRED. <br /> All persons who engage in professional filming within the City of San Leandro shall be required to <br /> obtain a permit, except where the professional filming involved is for news gathering purposes. <br /> X2.4.200: APPLICATION. <br /> All persons seeking a permit for professional filming must submit an application to the Film Liai- <br /> son on the forms provided by the City. <br /> X2.4.300: FEES. <br /> Unless exempt pursuant to §2.4.400, all persons shall pay a non-refundable application fee. The <br /> amount of this application fee shall be as set forth in San Leandro Administrative Code. All appli- <br /> cants granted a permit shall also pay a permit fee as set forth in the San Leandro Administrative <br /> Code prior to issuance of the permit. <br /> X2.4.400: FEE EXEMPTIONS. <br /> The following persons are exempt from the application fee requirement in §2.4300: bona fide stu- <br /> dents, non-profit corporations, and persons engaging in public service filming. Notwithstanding this <br /> Section, all persons exempt from the application fee are required to obtain a permit and to pay any <br /> and all other required fees, rates or charges. <br /> X2.4.500: WRITTEN PERMISSION REQUIRED. <br /> Prior to commencement of professional filming, all permittees are required to obtain and submit to <br /> the City evidence of written permission to enter the property from all property owners and tenants <br /> of those properties surrounding the location that will be directly affected by the professional film- <br /> ing. <br /> X2.4.600: WRITTEN NOTICE REQUIRED. <br /> Not less than seventy-two (72) hours prior to commencement of professional filming, all permittees <br /> shall provide written notice to all property owners or tenants within a 300-foot radius of the profes- <br /> sional filming location. <br /> X2.4.700: PROFESSIONAL FILMING HOURS. <br /> Professional filming shall not be permitted between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. except as <br /> specifically allowed by the Film Liaison. <br /> X2.4.800: INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS. <br /> All permittees shall have insurance coverage of the type and in the amounts specified by the Film <br /> Liaison. Evidence of compliance must be submitted to the Film Liaison prior to professional film- <br /> ing. Each permittee shall hold harmless, defend and indemnify the City, its elected officials, offi- <br /> cers, and employees from and against any or all loss, liability, expense, claim, costs (including <br /> costs of defense), suits and damages of every kind, nature and description from the negligence of <br /> the permittee or its agents. <br /> Department Responsible for Revision: City Manager Chapter 2.4 <br /> 05/02/2011 Page 1 <br />
