• Technology education for small businesses: / <br /> Enabling for-profit or non-profit organizations <br /> to locate in San Leandro to provide internet �� <br /> and web-based skills to small business owners, <br /> including web-site development, marketing <br /> through social media, basic internet use, etc. � � <br /> • Referral to external services: For example — <br /> Cleantech Open, Inner City Advisors, Alameda County SBDC, Tech Liminal, and others. <br /> Facilitate Excellent Access to Capital - These activities provide access to capital, both <br /> equity and debt, that are the lifeblood for business growth. <br /> Activities under Exploration: <br /> • Build pathways to capital for business expansion, retention and attraction: (1) equity, <br /> crowd-funding, direct placement offerings, angel investment, venture capital, and (2) <br /> debt: ensure San Leandro businesses have access to both traditional and innovative <br /> forms of lending resources. <br /> Access to Financial Incentives to Seed Catalytic Investments: These activities provide <br /> financial incentives that make a critical difference in attracting and retaining targeted <br /> businesses and investment, particularly as it relates to expanding LSL as an economic driver. <br /> Activities in Process: Business Incentive Programs: The City offers three incentive programs to <br /> help stimulate targeted investments: the Broadband Connection Program, the Commercial <br /> Fagade Improvement Program, and the Energy Efficiency Program.
