Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - March 6, 1995 Page - 2 - <br /> 5. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person. The public is invited <br /> to make any comments related to Agenda items (including San Leandro <br /> Redevelopment Agency, San Leandro Parking Authority, and San Leandro <br /> Industrial Development Authority) or other items of public interest at this <br /> time. Comments regarding Public Hearing items will be heard during the <br /> Public Hearing portion of the Agenda. <br /> A. Dana Johnson, Farrelly Drive, thanked the City employees for taking <br /> furloughs for the last few years and said the City has some great <br /> employees. He suggested the City privatize cable-casting of Council <br /> meetings by selling advertizing on the Government Channel . He noted <br /> Radio Station KSFO will be broadcasting from Washington D.C. , during <br /> the National League of Cities Conference. <br /> B. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, asked if the budget will be <br /> balanced through increased taxes. He spoke regarding a Sovereignty <br /> Resolution he had presented at the last Council meeting and said no one <br /> called him regarding it. He said people who are not the Council 's <br /> choice should be put on City committees. He said taxpayers want local <br /> government to keep taxes down and maintain necessary services; there <br /> are 6,000 taxing agencies which are running amuck; taxes increased in <br /> San Leandro by $160 to $180 last year. <br /> 6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Consent Calendar items are typically routine in nature and are considered <br /> for approval by the City Council with one single action. The City Council <br /> may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of discussion. <br /> Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by title. <br /> The Consent Calendar was approved as follows: <br /> Introduced by Council Member Kerr, who moved adoption of the Consent <br /> Calendar, with all items deemed to have been read by title, seconded by <br /> Council Member Myers, and carried by a majority vote (7) . <br /> A. Minutes of the meeting of February 21 , 1995. <br /> B. Resolution No. 95-32, Resolution Authorizing Filing of a Claim with the <br /> Metropolitan Transportation Commission for Allocation of Transportation <br /> Development Act, Article 3, Funds for Fiscal Year 1995-96 (allows the <br /> City to receive $25,000 for development of a Bicycle Transportation <br /> Plan) . Resolution No. 95-33, Resolution Amending Title 6, Chapter 4 of the San <br /> Leandro Administrative Code Relating to Fees and Charges for Services <br /> Provided by City Departments (decreases charges for document <br /> reproductions and other report copy fees to the direct cost of <br /> duplication) .
