Council Member Perry said she was pleased to hear about the Pot Hole <br /> Hotline and noted that Patton, from Halsey to 150th, is particularly <br /> bad right now. <br /> Council Member Perry noted there were more children than ever at the <br /> Easter Egg Hunt. She said 177 children attended the 3- to 4-year-old <br /> hunt alone, and this is an up-and-coming young community. <br /> Council Member Perry said the Lion King showing had a tremendous crowd. <br /> F. Council Member Galvan asked for a breakdown of costs for the ambulance <br /> service if it were to be run by the City, including an analysis of the <br /> current cost to residents, what the costs would be if the City ran it, <br /> and how the service would change. <br /> G. Mayor Corbett expressed her appreciation for the Egg Hunt and for the <br /> Friends of the Creek activities. She said the funds for the Washington <br /> Manor Park play area were donated by the Washington Manor Homeowners' <br /> Association and by Airco Industries and private citizens and businesses <br /> and thanked them for providing those funds. <br /> Mayor Corbett said she had attended a luncheon meeting with Senator <br /> Barbara Boxer and other Mayors. She said they all have similar <br /> concerns, including funding and matching funds for the police hiring <br /> program, telecommunication issues, etc. She said she also presented <br /> her concerns regarding nonliability for third parties regarding toxic <br /> ground water plumes and said Senator Boxer assured she will try to <br /> assist in these matters. She said she also discussed the need for <br /> future funds for dredging the Marina. <br /> Mayor Corbett said she took part in the program by the East Bay Depot <br /> for creative re-use and said it was very enjoyable to see the children <br /> who participated at Corvallis School and made masks out of recycled <br /> materials. <br /> Mayor Corbett said she appreciated the response to the newspaper <br /> article regarding Boards and Commissions. She said the applications <br /> were diligently reviewed by the City Council and, although not everyone <br /> could be appointed, the applications would be kept on file, and she <br /> appreciated everyone's involvement. <br />
