Resolution Appointing Member to Planning Commission (District 5) - <br /> Roger E. <br /> Council Member Loeffler said Mr. Ravenstad is a product of the <br /> community. He attended Roosevelt, Bancroft, and San Leandro High and <br /> has a degree in Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly. His background <br /> has been in the area of development, and he recently became a landscape <br /> architect for the City of Berkeley. He brings a new perspective to the <br /> City. <br /> The following Resolution was then introduced: <br /> Resolution No. 95-64, Resolution Appointing Member to Planning <br /> Commission (District 5) - Roger E. Ravenstad. (1018) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Loeffler, who moved its adoption, seconded <br /> by Council Member Perry, and carried by a majority vote (6) , with <br /> Council Member Polvorosa absent (1) . <br /> The City Clerk administered the Oath of Office to Mr. Ravenstad. Mr. <br /> Ravenstad said it is an honor to be appointed. He said this is an <br /> exciting time because of all the Redevelopment issues, and he is glad <br /> to be able to give back to the community. <br /> G. Resolution Appointing Member to Planning Commission (At Large) - Alice <br /> Chin. <br /> Mayor Corbett said Ms. Chin came to her and said she was interested in <br /> becoming involved in an active way. Ms. Chin is an attorney and knows <br /> the issues well . Her background and enthusiasm will serve the City <br /> well . <br /> The following Resolution was then introduced: <br /> Resolution No. 95-65, Resolution Appointing Member to Planning <br /> Commission (At Large) - Alice Chin. (1018) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Myers, who moved its adoption, seconded by <br /> Council Member Perry, and carried by a majority vote (6) , with Council <br /> Member Polvorosa absent (1) . <br /> The City Clerk administered the Oath of Office to Ms. Chin. Ms. Chin • <br /> said she is exceptionally honored and thanked the City Council . She <br /> said she has always taken an interest in participating actively in the <br /> community, whether the legal , Asian American or local community, and <br /> said she is proud of San Leandro. <br />
