Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - September 18, 1995 Page - 12 - CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS (continued) Council Member Loeffler referred to a letter from Stuart Flashman regarding the modifications to San Leandro Creek. The City Attorney said the letter was referred to June Catalano, who has contacted Mr. Flashman. Council Member Loeffler said many citizens are concerned that A.C. Transit buses speed and should be held accountable and ticketed. Mayor Corbett suggested the matter of buses should be included in the "Year of the Pedestrian" activities. E. Council Member Myers said the Community Center opening was excellent. Council Member Myers spoke regarding the 19th Annual Shoreline Run; he challenged Council Members to walk the 3K track next year. Council Member Myers said he wanted to go on record that it is not the City Council 's intent to close the Marina-Mulford Library. F. Mayor Corbett spoke regarding A.C. Transit cuts in service and said she passed San. Leandro's concerns regarding seniors, employers, and commuters on to representative Pat Piras. She said the situation is bleak, but Ms. Piras has attempted to make some changes, and service on weekends will stop at midnight instead of 10:00 p.m. on regular routes. Mayor Corbett congratulated Nummi for their work in painting and refurbishing the Davis Street Community Center and playground. Mayor Corbett said the St. Felicitas Fair and Parade were a wonderful showcase of cultural heritage. Mayor Corbett said the Shoreline Run was excellent. G. Council Member Myers asked the City Attorney to determine if parking on Doolittle Drive could be restricted between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. 11.
