Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - September 18, 1995 Page - 7 - <br /> NEW BUSINESS (continued) <br /> In response to questions, Mr. Kruger said the petitions were initiated <br /> by residents on Joaquin Avenue, but staff was asked to notify everyone <br /> in the affected community. He described levels of traffic on the <br /> affected streets and the costs which might be involved for unirrigated <br /> vs irrigated and fully landscaped circles. <br /> Council Member Myers said the Council does not want one street pitted <br /> against another. He said the pilot program should include Estudillo <br /> and Sybil , as recommended by Council , and any necessary corrections <br /> made as quickly as possible. Funds can be included in next year's <br /> Capital Improvement Program for future work. <br /> The Resolution was approved, as amended, to relocate speed humps to the <br /> "San Jose end" of the streets and to include Sybil and Estudillo in the <br /> pilot program. <br /> The following Resolution was then introduced: <br /> Resolution No. 95-190, Resolution Approving a Pilot Program of <br /> Neighborhood Traffic Controls on Estudillo, Joaquin, Juana, Dolores, <br /> Maud and Sybil Avenues Between Grand and Bancroft Avenues (provides for <br /> the installation of speed humps and temporary traffic circles) . <br /> (1022) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Galvan, who moved its adoption, seconded <br /> by Council Member Myers, and carried by a majority vote (7) , as <br /> amended, adding Estudillo and Sybil Avenues to the pilot program and <br /> modifying location of humps. <br /> B. Resolution No. 95-191, Resolution Approving Contractual Services <br /> Agreement with Rajappan and Meyer Consulting Engineers Relating to <br /> Public Participation and Concept Design of the East 14th Street <br /> Median. (2323) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Kerr, who moved its adoption, seconded by <br /> Council Member Loeffler, and carried by a majority vote (7) . <br /> C. Resolution No. 95-192, Resolution Approving Contractual Services <br /> Agreement with Rajappan and Meyer Consulting Engineers Relating to <br /> Environmental and Design Services for the I-880 and Davis <br /> Interchange.
