He said <br /> the intention is not to discourage fleet business or other businesses. <br /> Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, said most businesses will pass the <br /> increases down; but not all can do so because some are partly <br /> regulated, some are fully regulated, and some are not regulated at all . <br /> He asked how many businesses are totally exempt from Business Licenses <br /> and said his group is trying to get legislation on this issue. <br /> E. Resolution No. 95-193, Resolution Approving Parcel Map 6855, 438 <br /> Mitchell Avenue (provides for subdivision of existing 12,300-square- <br /> foot parcel into two residential lots; Subdivider: Ken Wong. (1690) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Kerr, who moved its adoption, seconded by <br /> Council Member Galvan, and carried by a majority vote (7) . <br /> F. Resolution Supporting Senate Constitutional Amendment 2 (supports <br /> proposed amendment to State Constitution which changes the requirements <br /> for approving the California budget) . <br /> Council Member Perry noted that the League of California Cities has not <br /> taken a position and suggested the City not take a position on this <br /> matter. <br /> On motion by Council Member Perry, who moved its approval , seconded by <br /> Council Member Kerr, and carried by a majority vote (7) , the City <br /> Council tabled the Resolution. <br /> G. Resolution No. 95-194, Resolution Calling Upon the State Legislature <br /> and the Department of Insurance to Resolve the Homeowner Insurance <br /> Crisis in California (urges the State Legislature and the Department of <br /> Insurance to develop a new mechanism for catastrophic insurance <br /> coverage for California homeowners that is economically viable and fair <br /> to all parties throughout the State) . (1123) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Loeffler, who moved its adoption, seconded <br /> by Council Member Polvorosa, and carried by a majority vote (7) . <br />
