Matter of HUD Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) Grantee <br /> Performance Report (GPR) for Fiscal Year 1994-95. <br /> This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above <br /> matter, Jacqui Diaz, Block Grant Coordinator, presented the staff <br /> report and said this is the City's 20th year of funding. She said the <br /> report was made available for public review and described some of the <br /> activities which had been undertaken. <br /> The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> There being no comments from the public, on motion of Council Member <br /> Galvan, seconded by Council Member Polvorosa, and carried by a majority <br /> vote (7) , the Public Hearing was closed. <br /> The following Resolution was then introduced: <br /> Resolution No. 95-195, Resolution Accepting the Community Development <br /> Block Grant Program (CDBG) Grantee Performance Report (GPR) for Fiscal <br /> Year 1994-95 and Authorizing Submission Thereof by the City Manager <br /> (reports on the 1994-95 CDBG activities and provides for acceptance of <br /> the CDBG Annual Performance Report and submission to HUD) . (2096) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Kerr, who moved its adoption, seconded by <br /> Council Member Perry, and carried by a majority vote (7) . <br /> 9. NEW BUSINESS (continued) <br /> H. City Council Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies. <br /> Council Member Perry said the Associated Community Action Program is <br /> undertaking a strategic plan related to the Allied Housing Community <br /> Action Board and will form a technical advisory board which will <br /> include City staff. <br /> Vice Mayor Kerr reported on the Congestion Management Agency and said <br /> the State has taken $575 million in funding from local projects, to be <br /> used primarily for retrofitting. He discussed the Hesperian Boulevard <br /> project from San Leandro to Union City, a Trip Reduction Symposium to <br /> be held on October 27th, the Emeryville shuttle program, and the I-880 <br /> Intermodal project. He praised Gary Kruger for his leadership on the <br /> technical advisory committee. <br /> Council Member Loeffler discussed the Alameda Reuse Authority public <br /> hearing, which was held in San Leandro, and said there was a good <br /> turnout. He said some of the proposals could impact San Leandro, such <br /> as a potential marina at the base. <br />
