Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - October 16, 1995 Page - 12 - PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) In response to Council questions, Mr. Perron said they currently have 62% penetration in San Leandro. He said rates are regulated by local and federal government, and TCI must pay franchise fees and utility taxes. He said prices will be driven by the new era of competition, and people will have many more choices. The Hearing was then opened to the public. The City Clerk noted a letter was submitted by Mr. Richard Rufer, 1411 Lake Chabot Road, regarding TCI's performance. There being no further comments from the public, on motion of Council Member Myers, seconded by Council Member Kerr, with Council Member Perry abstaining (1) , and carried by a majority vote (6) , the Public Hearing was closed. The following Resolutions disapprove TCI Cablevision of Hayward rates for basic cable television services and equipment; prescribe new rates; and, in some cases, order refunds: Resolution No. 95-207, Resolution Disapproving the Rates Proposed by TCI Cablevision of Hayward for the Basic Service Tier in Form 393 and Making Findings in Connection Therewith. (1375) Introduced by Council Member Myers, who moved its adoption, seconded by Council Member Loeffler, with Council Member Perry abstaining (1), and carried by a majority vote (6) . Resolution No. 95-208, Resolution Disapproving the Rates Proposed by TCI Cablevision of Hayward for the Basic Service Tier in the Form 1200 & Form 1210, Ordering a Refund to Subscribers, and Making Findings in Connection Therewith. (1375) Introduced by Council Member Loeffler, who moved its adoption as amended, seconded by Council Member Myers, with Council Member Perry abstaining (1) , and carried by a majority vote (6) . Resolution Disapproving the Rates Proposed by TCI Cablevision of Hayward for the Basic Service Tier in the Form 1210, Dated March 29, 1995, Ordering a Refund to Subscribers, and Making Findings in Connection Therewith. No action taken at the request of staff.
