Matter of Appointment of Members to Economic Development Advisory <br /> Committee (recommended appointment of 15-member committee to Economic <br /> Development Advisory Committee) . <br /> Council Member Perry said she requested representation by the health <br /> industry, automotive industry, and the Marina area. She said this had <br /> not been done so she could not approve the appointments. <br /> Mayor Corbett pointed out that the subcommittee met several times and <br /> has been working on this matter for a year. She said they were just as <br /> torn and tried to keep the size manageable and balance interests. She <br /> said these will be open meetings and others can be asked to participate <br /> when various issues such as health care arise. <br /> Council Member Myers said he shares Council Member Perry's concerns but <br /> feels they must move forward, then fill any voids. <br /> Council Member Loeffler said they are sensitive to Council Member <br /> Perry's ideas and can call in groups of experts as needed. <br /> The following Motion was then introduced: <br /> Minute Order No. 95-76, Matter of Appointment of Members to Economic <br /> Development Advisory Committee (recommended appointment of 15-member <br /> committee to Economic Development Advisory Committee) .
