Matter of I0-95-1; Interim Ordinance; Extension of Ten (10) Months and <br /> Fifteen (15) Days of Interim Ordinance No. 95-021, Pursuant to <br /> Government Code Section 65858 and San Leandro Charter Section 130, <br /> Temporarily Prohibiting Approval of Any Subdivisions, Variances or <br /> Conditional Use Permits on Properties Generally Westerly of Doolittle <br /> Drive, Southerly of Eden Road and Northerly of Neptune Drive and <br /> Adjacent to Davis Street, 2333 Through 2660 Eden Road; 950 Through 1199 <br /> Doolittle Drive and 2222 Through 2550 Davis Street. <br /> This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above <br /> matter, Steve Emslie, Planning Manager, said staff recommends the <br /> extension of the Interim Ordinance to November, 1996, to ensure that <br /> development in the area complies with established General Plan uses. <br /> He said the study is under way and will go to the Planning Commission <br /> in January with a draft recommendation for an overlay zone and will <br /> probably come to Council for consideration in February. In response to <br /> Council questions, he noted the Interim Ordinance will only affect <br /> conditionally permitted uses, variances, and subdivisions; anything <br /> permitted by the Zoning Code will not be affected. He said the <br /> property owner has been notified. <br /> The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> There being no comments from the public, on motion of Council Member <br /> Kerr, seconded by Council Member Myers, and carried by a majority vote <br /> (7) , the Public Hearing was closed. <br /> The following Ordinance was then introduced: <br /> Ordinance No. 95-041, Extension of an Interim Ordinance, Pursuant to <br /> Government Code Section 65858 and San Leandro Charter Section 130 <br /> Temporarily Prohibiting Approval of Any Subdivisions, Variances, or <br /> Conditional Use Permits on Properties Identified in Exhibit A <br /> (Generally Westerly of Doolittle Drive, Southerly of Eden Road and <br /> Northerly of Neptune Drive and Adjacent to Davis Street) and Declaring <br /> This Ordinance to Be an Urgency Measure to Take Effect Immediately for <br /> the Preservation of the Public Peace, Health, and Safety (I0-95-01) . <br /> (2799/1184) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Myers, who moved that it be passed to <br /> print and adopted, seconded by Council Member Kerr, and carried by a <br /> majority vote (7) . <br />
