Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - January 4, 1993 Page - 18 - <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) <br /> Council Member Myers noted there would be no physical changes to the <br /> property and no traffic impact. He said there would be an increase of <br /> two parking spaces, and parking does not seem to be a problem. He said <br /> he lives in an area that is completely surrounded by condominiums. He <br /> said the neighbors most affected by this Application have spoken or <br /> sent letters in favor of the Application. He said the property is not <br /> going to be separated into three separate parcels, and CC&R' s and other <br /> controls will result in an upgrade in the area. <br /> Council Member Kerr said he was impressed by the comments made tonight. <br /> He said he believes this Application will help to upgrade the <br /> neighborhood and does not see a rash of new Applications coming in. <br /> The following Motion was then introduced: <br /> Minute Order No, 93-01 . Matter of A-92-06; Reclassification; to Re- <br /> Zone from the 0 (Outer Residential ) District to the 0-PDC (Outer <br /> Residential -Planned Development Combining) District; and PD-92-05, <br /> GDP/PDP; Planned Unit Development; General and Precise Development <br /> Plans; to Convert an Existing Single-Family Residence and a Two-Story <br /> Duplex into a Condominium for Sale as Three Individual Units; 2291- <br /> 2293-2295 West Avenue 133rd; Assessor's Parcel Number 79A-570-8; Dale <br /> N. Hansen; 0 (Outer Residential ) District. <br /> On motion by Council Member Myers, who moved its approval , seconded by <br /> Council Member Polvorosa, and carried by the following called vote, the <br /> City Council approved A-92-06 and PD-92-05 with all Conditions. <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Kerr, Myers, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> 9. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> A. Council Member Perry said she is concerned regarding the numerous press <br /> articles related to an increase in crime in San 'Leandro and comments <br /> that the Task Force has made recommendations. She said crime has <br /> decreased substantially at Bay Fair. She said she thinks information <br /> is being leaked from the Task Force and said the information to date is <br /> only preliminary. She said the City Council will be looking at all of <br /> the recommendations as a whole. She said the Council will look at the <br /> population of the City, the way population has shifted, and the types <br /> of services that are needed. <br />
