Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - June 7, 1993 Page - 6 - NEW BUSINESS (continued) The following Resolution was then introduced: Resolution No. 93-107, Resolution Initially Accepting the Work for Dayton Baseball Field, Project No. 92-8630 (provides for initial acceptance of work from Gateway Landscape Construction, Inc. , and filing of Notice of Completion) . (2722) Introduced by Council Member Kerr, who moved its adoption, seconded by Council Member Faria, and carried by the following called vote: AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Kerr, Myers, Perry; Vice Mayor Polvorosa ( 6 ) NOES: None ( 0 ) ABSENT: None ( 0 ) A. Matter of Terms and Conditions for San Leandro Fire Fighters' Association and Amendment of the Pay Plan, Sections 1, 2, and Appendix A. Mike Oliver, City Manager, said agreement has been reached with the Fire Fighters' Association, and they have agreed to a zero pay raise for one year and a cost-of-living raise the second year equivalent to the CPI , not to exceed 4%. He said this is the same as the Police Officers' Association. He said the Fire Fighters' Association is participating in the attempt to hold the line, and it is appreciated. He said he is looking forward to the same cooperation from the ' Management Group and General Employees. He said he anticipates no additional costs in salaries and a savings of funds through the furlough program. Council Member Myers said he is pleased to see the Fire Fighters come to this type of agreement, and we can be proud of them and of the City. b He said San Leandro has the best Fire Fighters in the County of Alameda. The following Motion and Resolution were then introduced: - Minute Order No. 93-28. Motion Approving Memorandum of Understanding Between the City of San Leandro and the San Leandro Fire Fighters' Association (reflects a two-year agreement for the period June 1, 1993 Through May 31 , 1995) . (1389) On motion by Council Member Myers, who moved its approval , seconded by Council Member Kerr, and carried by the following called vote, the City Council approved the Memorandum of Understanding Between the City of San Leandro and the San Leandro Fire Fighters' Association. AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Kerr, Myers, Perry; Vice Mayor Polvorosa ( 6 ) NOES: None ( 0 ) ABSENT: None ( 0 )
