Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - June 7, 1993 Page - 6 - <br /> NEW BUSINESS (continued) <br /> The following Resolution was then introduced: <br /> Resolution No. 93-107, Resolution Initially Accepting the Work for Dayton <br /> Baseball Field, Project No. 92-8630 (provides for initial acceptance of <br /> work from Gateway Landscape Construction, Inc. , and filing of Notice of <br /> Completion) . (2722) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Kerr, who moved its adoption, seconded by <br /> Council Member Faria, and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Kerr, Myers, Perry; <br /> Vice Mayor Polvorosa ( 6 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> A. Matter of Terms and Conditions for San Leandro Fire Fighters' <br /> Association and Amendment of the Pay Plan, Sections 1, 2, and Appendix <br /> A. <br /> Mike Oliver, City Manager, said agreement has been reached with the <br /> Fire Fighters' Association, and they have agreed to a zero pay raise <br /> for one year and a cost-of-living raise the second year equivalent to <br /> the CPI , not to exceed 4%. He said this is the same as the Police <br /> Officers' Association. He said the Fire Fighters' Association is <br /> participating in the attempt to hold the line, and it is appreciated. <br /> He said he is looking forward to the same cooperation from the <br />' Management Group and General Employees. He said he anticipates no <br /> additional costs in salaries and a savings of funds through the <br /> furlough program. <br /> Council Member Myers said he is pleased to see the Fire Fighters come <br /> to this type of agreement, and we can be proud of them and of the City. <br /> b He said San Leandro has the best Fire Fighters in the County of <br /> Alameda. <br /> The following Motion and Resolution were then introduced: <br /> - Minute Order No. 93-28. Motion Approving Memorandum of <br /> Understanding Between the City of San Leandro and the San Leandro <br /> Fire Fighters' Association (reflects a two-year agreement for the <br /> period June 1, 1993 Through May 31 , 1995) . (1389) <br /> On motion by Council Member Myers, who moved its approval , seconded <br /> by Council Member Kerr, and carried by the following called vote, <br /> the City Council approved the Memorandum of Understanding Between <br /> the City of San Leandro and the San Leandro Fire Fighters' <br /> Association. <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Kerr, Myers, Perry; <br /> Vice Mayor Polvorosa ( 6 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br />
