Council Member Polvorosa thanked Roy Parker for contacting Cal-Trans regarding the lack of privacy problem at the Floresta Overpass and said he is sure a solution will be worked out. G. Council Member Polvorosa said there is a concern regarding odor and noises when the storage door is opened at Bingham at 835 Fremont Avenue. H. Council Member Perry said the matter of Minute Printing had been referred to staff previously, and she knows it has been worked on with Cal -Trans for at least a year. I . Council Member Perry thanked Kathy Ornelas for volunteering to take home the yellow ribbons and cut them into 50-foot lengths for the Yellow Ribbon Campaign. J. Council Member Perry said she signed a letter of support today on behalf of the Partnership for Youth Safety Committee for obtaining State grants for the DARE, Gang Prevention, and Violence Intervention Programs. She said the funds come from the Office of Criminal Planning and Justice, and she is hopeful the City will obtain funds this year. K. Council Member Perry said the Cities Advisory Board for Job Training Programs comes before the Board of Supervisors tomorrow. She said she would be there to testify on behalf of San Leandro and other Alameda County cities. L. Council Member Perry spoke regarding the State budget and said cities got sold down the river on the Assembly side. She said she will be attending a meeting on Thursday in Sacramento and will report back to the City Council on the results of that meeting. 10. ADJOURN The City Council adjourned its meeting at 10:25 p.m. to an Adjourned Meeting on Thursday, June 24, 1993, at 8:00 p.m. , in the South Offices Conference Room, to Interview Applicants for and Make an Appointment to the City Council Vacancy in District 1 .
