Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - September 7, 1993 Page - 20 - <br /> CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS (continued) <br /> E. Council Member Perry said she, Council Member Kerr, and Roy Parker met <br /> with Secretary of Transportation, Federico Pena, and the new Federal <br /> Transit Administrator, Gordon Litton, to discuss transportation issues <br /> in the area, along with the cities of Fremont, Hayward, Milpitas, and <br /> Union City. She said it was a very enlightening and productive <br /> meeting, and there was an open discussion. She commended Pete Stark <br /> for setting the meeting up and said this was an opportunity for smaller <br /> cities to be heard. <br /> • <br /> F. Council Member Perry said California is being made one of the priority <br /> states in the Clinton administration, and they are looking at ways of <br /> providing additional funding for this area as a result of the base <br /> closures. <br /> G. Council Member Perry asked the City Manager to provide the Council with <br /> a stop sign priority list so they could see if changes needed to be <br /> made. <br /> H. Council Member Perry said it is nice to see the graduating Youth • <br /> Advisory Commission. She said they have accomplished a lot this year, <br /> including "Teen Speak Out, " and working with seniors, and wished them <br /> her best. <br /> I . Council Member Nahm said, as of September 1, he will be the Base <br /> Closure Mitigation Coordinator for Alameda County, working for the <br /> Economic Development Advisory Board. He said, he will be in a position <br /> to have an impact on what will take place regarding employee placement <br /> and closure of the bases. <br /> J. Mayor Faria noted he had tickets for the IDSC Holy Ghost Dinner to be <br /> held this Saturday, September 11, at 7:30 p.m. He said IDSC was in <br /> financial need and needed our help. <br /> 10. ADJOURN <br /> The City Council adjourned its meeting at 9:29 p.m. to an Adjourned Meeting <br /> on Monday, September 13, 1993, at 7:00 p.m. , in the City Council Chambers, <br /> for a Work Session Discussion Regarding PD-91-3 (PDP) , Roberts' Landing <br /> Precise Development Plan. <br /> APPROVED: <br /> /& <br /> E.
