PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> A. Matter of Condemnation of the North Block Building (Joseph A. Proietti <br /> Property) Located at 117 Peralta Street for the Civic Center Seismic <br /> Retrofit Project. <br /> This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above <br /> matter, Rob Caughell , Engineering and Transportation Department, said <br /> the subject resolution is a Resolution of Necessity authorizing the City <br /> Attorney to begin the legal process to begin Eminent Domain Proceedings <br /> for acquisition of property at 117 Peralta Street related to the Civic <br /> Center Seismic Retrofit Project. He said the Hearing was necessary in <br /> order to acquire the property in a manner that would allow the project <br /> to remain on schedule. <br /> The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> There being no comments from the public, on motion of Council Member <br /> Polvorosa, seconded by Council Member Perry, and carried unanimously, <br /> the Public Hearing was closed. <br />
