Resolution No. 93-225, Resolution Committing at Least a Twenty-Five <br /> Percent Local Cost Share for Seismic Retrofitting Projects for State <br /> Bond Act Grant Application (fulfills eligibility requirements to enable <br /> the City to apply for a State of California grant to offset a portion <br /> of the cost of seismic retrofitting San Leandro's essential -service <br /> facilities. ) (1195) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Corbett, who moved its adoption, seconded <br /> by Council Member Perry, and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Kerr, Myers, Nahm, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Faria ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> D. An Ordinance Adding Section 7-3-1100 to the San Leandro Zoning Code <br /> Relating to Screening of Soil and Groundwater Remediation Activities <br /> (amends the Zoning Code to add provisions regarding toxic remediation <br /> [A-92-9] , as approved at the Public Hearing on June 21, 1993) . <br /> The City Council asked if it would be possible for a property to go for <br /> 21 days without screening. <br /> Norm Weisbrod, Associate Planner, said, if clean up were to take less <br /> than 21 days, no screening would be required. However, if it took more <br /> than 21 days, staff would require that a screening and remediation plan <br /> be provided at the beginning of the project. <br /> The City Council asked what the enforcement process related to sound <br /> remediation would be. Mr. Weisbrod said problems with noise would be <br /> enforced through Community Standards and the General Plan noise <br /> regulations would be utilized. <br /> The following Ordinance was then introduced: <br /> Ordinance No. 93-020, An Ordinance Adding Section 7-3-1100 to the San <br /> Leandro Zoning Code Relating to Screening of Soil and Groundwater <br /> Remediation Activities (amends the Zoning Code to add provisions <br /> regarding toxic remediation [A-92-9] , as approved at the Public Hearing <br /> on June 21 , 1993) .
