Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - June 6, 1994 Page - 19 - <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) <br /> There was a Motion by Council Member Polvorosa, seconded by <br /> Council Member Kerr, to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Council Member Myers pointed out that, by doing so, the Council <br /> would not have the opportunity to continue discussion of this <br /> matter. <br /> Council Member Myers, seconded by Council Member Perry, moved to <br /> continue the matter for further discussion and said there were <br /> additional issues to be discussed. <br /> • <br /> The following Motion was then introduced: <br /> Minute Order No. 94-28. Matter of Appeal by Creekside <br /> Neighborhood Association of the Board of Zoning Adjustments' <br /> Approval of CU-94-2 and V-94-2; CU-94-2; Conditional Use; to <br /> Permit Construction of a 13,500 Square-Foot Drug Store <br /> (Walgreen's) ; and V-94-2; Variance to Reduce Required Front <br /> Building Setback for the Drug Store from 20 Feet to 2 Feet; at <br /> the Southeast Corner of East 14th Street and Haas Avenue, <br /> Formerly Petersen Motors; 970 East 14th Street; Assessor's Parcel <br /> Number 76-440-14-4; Pegasus Commercial , Inc. ; NA-2 (North Area 2) <br /> District. (1098/1005) <br /> On motion by Council Member Myers, who moved its approval , <br /> seconded by Council Member Perry, and carried by the following <br /> called vote, the City Council continued the matter of the Public <br /> Hearing regarding the Appeal by Creekside Neighborhood <br /> Association of the Board of Zoning Adjustments' Approval of CU- <br /> 94-2 and V-94-2 to the July 18, 1994, City Council Meeting, and <br /> directed staff to provide additional information on the following <br /> issues: <br /> (1) Arrange for additional meetings with staff, the community <br /> and developer, to discuss and try to mitigate community <br /> concerns. Present the four traffic options to the <br /> community. <br /> (2) Provide an analysis of the two surveys and explain <br /> discrepancies between response from City's Town Hall <br /> meeting and survey distributed by homeowners' group. <br /> (3) Provide additional information on circulation issues, <br /> including delivery trucks from Walgreen's main warehouses. <br /> (4) Discuss traffic problems which are seen as two distinct <br /> issues: <br /> - traffic in neighborhood not related to Walgreen's <br /> - potential traffic related to Walgreen's <br />
