Darlene Evans, 361 Bristol Boulevard, said she was robbed on Thursday <br /> night. She said she spoke to the gas station manager and the manager <br /> of Durant Square and asked about their facilities. She said she sees <br /> problems with the jurisdiction between San Leandro and Oakland. She <br /> said there are only eight police cars patrolling San Leandro at night <br /> and there are no fence laws, and in some places there are no fences <br /> between San Leandro and Oakland properties. She said fence laws are <br /> needed for the safety of citizens. She said she went to the Police <br /> Department to get information on gang activities and did not get any <br /> information but noticed two days later there were brochures related to <br /> gang activity in the Police Department lobby. She noted Toast Masters <br /> teaches public speaking. <br /> Mayor Corbett noted that Wednesday evening there would be a meeting in <br /> the Durant area to establish a new Neighborhood Watch Program. <br /> H. Marlene Lenz, 14983 Norton Street, thanked the City Council for the <br /> recycling bins, said she has been recycling voluntarily, and has her <br /> office recycling. She said she thinks this is a good program which is <br /> needed and the cost is not outrageous. <br /> 6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Consent Calendar items are typically routine in nature and are considered <br /> for approval by the City Council with one single action. The City Council <br /> may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of discussion. <br /> The Consent Calendar was approved as follows: <br /> Introduced by Council Member Perry, who moved adoption of the Consent <br /> Calendar, seconded by Council Member Galvan, and carried by a majority vote <br /> (7) . <br /> A. Minutes of the meeting of September 19, 1994. <br /> B. Minutes of the meeting of September 26, 1994. <br /> C. Resolution No. 94-186, Resolution Approving Plans and Specifications <br /> and Calling for Bids for Water Pollution Control Plant Digester No. 2 <br /> Rehabilitation, Project No. 593-8553 (provides for coating the interior <br /> and exterior of the digester dome, repairing exterior supports, and <br /> associated work) .
