Approval of Work Session Items Requiring Action. <br /> None <br /> C. Report on Closed Session Actions Taken. <br /> None <br /> 8. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> None <br /> 9. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> A. Council Member Myers noted last Saturday was a day of picnics, <br /> including Mulford Gardens and Washington Manor Homeowners Association. <br /> He said everyone seems a lot friendlier in that type of atmosphere. <br /> B. Council Member Loeffler said the Women of Taste event, sponsored by <br /> Girls' , Inc. , was a high-quality, first-class program. <br /> C. Council Member Loeffler said the "Day In the Park" was an excellent <br /> program. <br /> D. Council Member Loeffler thanked Council Member Kerr for visiting his <br /> school after his trip "down under" and for talking to the students. <br /> E. Council Member Loeffler said he is concerned Proposition 187 makes <br /> people of immigrant background suspect and puts a lot of responsibility <br /> on teachers. He said Police Chiefs and health-care professionals are <br /> opposed to the Proposition, and he suggested the City Council do so as <br /> well . <br /> F. Council Member Kerr said he agreed regarding Proposition 187 and would <br /> like additional information and analysis. He said he also feels the <br /> Council should take a stand. <br />
