Sandra Nielsen, 2100 Lewelling Boulevard, said she is one of the owners <br /> of Sandev Mobile Home Park. She described dust problems in the area <br /> related to the work being done at Robert's Landing. The City Manager <br /> asked Mrs. Nielsen to discuss this matter with Bill Algire, Engineering <br /> and Transportation Director, who could assist her. <br /> D. Mary Beth Barloga, Principal of Roosevelt School , said she was speaking <br /> as a fellow citizen and urged the City Council to support Measure D. <br /> She said they are elected representatives whose responsibility it is to <br /> share in the raising of our children, and our children's schools and <br /> neighborhoods need this Measure. <br /> E. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, said Measure D is a political <br /> issue. He said there is a lot of dust on Lewelling Boulevard. He said <br /> the issues in Measure D are cost control and the equity of payment. He <br /> said business is not going to pay for the Measure but individual <br /> homeowners are. He said civil servants are the largest work force but <br /> cannot produce bonafide tax revenue. <br /> F. Mike Pretto, -775 Bridge Road, Co-Chair for "Yes for Kids", asked the <br /> City Council to support Measure D and to do so collectively. <br /> G. Pat Frey, 901 Glen Drive, said she has done a lot of volunteering in <br /> the schools and knows this is not a case of disrepair but the need to <br /> upgrade. She said the City Council 's endorsement of the Measure would <br /> mean a lot to the community. <br /> H. Cheryl Clifford, 136 Oakes Boulevard, said she is shocked the City <br /> Council has not come together as a Council and supported the Measure. <br /> She said the Measure will mean a lot to the community as a whole. <br /> 6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Consent Calendar items are typically routine in nature and are considered <br /> for approval by the City Council with one single action. The City Council <br /> may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of discussion. <br /> Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by title. <br /> Items 6.0 and 6.D were removed from the Consent Calendar to New Business. <br /> The remaining items on the Consent Calendar were approved as follows: <br /> Introduced by Council Member Kerr, who moved adoption of the Consent <br /> Calendar, with all items deemed to have been read by title, seconded by <br /> Council Member Loeffler, and carried by a majority vote (7) . <br /> A.
