Resolution to Adopt an Amendment to the Alameda County Solid Waste <br /> Management Plan. <br /> The City Council discussed the need for the Amendment since Contra <br /> Costa County is no longer importing solid waste to Altamont. <br /> Council Member Faria and Bob Taylor, Public' Works Services Director, <br /> said that, although Contra Costa County has not been importing waste to <br /> Altamont for several months, they wish to have the ability to do so in <br /> case of an emergency, since there is still a lawsuit pending. <br /> Howard Kerr, Waste Management, said the Keller Canyon site is 90% <br /> complete, and the County stopped bringing waste to Altamont on December <br /> 17th, but wants to keep the door open in case there is a problem with <br /> the final lawsuit. <br />
