She said she does not like giving something away and feels the County should come back and negotiate. Council Members Corbett and Faria said it has been quite costly for Contra Costa County to utilize the Altamont site. The following Resolution was then introduced: RESOLUTION NO. 92-74 (2047) RESOLUTION TO ADOPT AN AMENDMENT TO THE ALAMEDA COUNTY SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN Introduced by Council Member Faria, who moved its adoption, seconded by Council Member Corbett, and carried by the following called vote: AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Polvorosa; Mayor Karp ( 5 ) NOES: Council Members Santos and Perry ( 2 ) ABSENT: None ( 0 ) H. Resolution Approving the Designation of the Alameda County Department of Environmental Health as Enforcement Agency for Cities Within Said County. Bob Taylor, Public Works Services Director, said Alameda County Health Department has been the local enforcement agency for a number of years. He said recent changes in State law related to the Integrated Waste Management Act require that each agency recertify its local enforcement agency. He said all cities in Alameda County, except Berkeley, are currently being served by the Alameda County Health Department. RESOLUTION NO. 92-75 (1255) RESOLUTION APPROVING THE DESIGNATION OF THE ALAMEDA COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AS ENFORCEMENT AGENCY FOR CITIES WITHIN SAID COUNTY Introduced by Council Member Faria, who moved its adoption, seconded by Council Member Santos, and carried by the following called vote: AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; Mayor Karp ( 7 ) NOES: None ( 0 ) ABSENT: None ( 0 )
