She said she does not like giving something away and <br /> feels the County should come back and negotiate. <br /> Council Members Corbett and Faria said it has been quite costly for <br /> Contra Costa County to utilize the Altamont site. <br /> The following Resolution was then introduced: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 92-74 (2047) <br /> RESOLUTION TO ADOPT AN AMENDMENT TO THE <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN <br /> Introduced by Council Member Faria, who moved its adoption, seconded by Council <br /> Member Corbett, and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Polvorosa; Mayor Karp ( 5 ) <br /> NOES: Council Members Santos and Perry ( 2 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> H. Resolution Approving the Designation of the Alameda County Department <br /> of Environmental Health as Enforcement Agency for Cities Within Said <br /> County. <br /> Bob Taylor, Public Works Services Director, said Alameda County Health <br /> Department has been the local enforcement agency for a number of years. <br /> He said recent changes in State law related to the Integrated Waste <br /> Management Act require that each agency recertify its local enforcement <br /> agency. He said all cities in Alameda County, except Berkeley, are <br /> currently being served by the Alameda County Health Department. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 92-75 (1255) <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE DESIGNATION OF THE <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br /> AS ENFORCEMENT AGENCY FOR CITIES WITHIN SAID COUNTY <br /> Introduced by Council Member Faria, who moved its adoption, seconded by Council <br /> Member Santos, and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br />
