Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - April 20, 1992 Page - 8 -
6. CONSENT CALENDAR
A. Minutes of the meeting of April 6, 1992.
Jeff Houston, 1465 Burkhart Avenue, requested that the Minutes be
removed from the Consent Calendar. He said he wished to clarify the
Minutes from the April 6 Meeting. He said he did not say that he
should have more than three minutes and that his rights would be
violated if he could not. He said the comments he wanted to make at
the Public Hearing regarding the inadequacies and errors in the Final
EIR could not be made in only three minutes. He said he felt it was
not his rights but the rights of all citizens of California that were
violated when government stifled their right to participate. He said
the comments he wanted to make were relevant to the Council 's pending
decision about approving the EIR. He said the public notice in the
newspaper stated that he could only state his grievances at the Public
Hearing and that three minutes was not enough time to do that.
Mayor Karp noted the City Clerk would check the tape of the Minutes and
would report back to the City Council to determine if modifications
needed to be made, but, in the meantime, the Minutes would be approved,
subject to possible modifications .
B. The City Clerk noted staff was requesting that Item E. , Resolution of
Award of Contract to Superstructures, Inc. , for Demolition and Removal
of Improvements at 872 Marina Boulevard, Project No. 92-8394-1, be
removed from the Agenda because the property owner had determined he
would demolish the building himself.
C. RESOLUTION NO. 92-88 (2323)
RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACTUAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH
NOBLE CONSULTANTS, INC.
RELATING TO DREDGE DISPOSAL SITE RECONFIGURATION
Introduced by Council Member Santos, who moved its adoption, seconded by Council
Member Faria, and carried by the following called vote:
AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos;
Mayor Karp ( 7 )
NOES: None ( 0 )
ABSENT: None ( 0 )
