MINUTE ORDER NO. 92-55 (1156) <br /> MATTER OF APPOINTMENT TO MAYOR'S COMMITTEE <br /> FOR PRESERVATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND AGAINST <br /> RACIAL AND RELIGIOUS INTOLERANCE <br /> MARION PRYFOGLE <br /> On motion by Council Member Corbett, who moved its approval , seconded by Council <br /> Member Kerr, and carried by the following called vote, the City Council approved <br /> the appointment of Marion Pryfogle to the Mayor's Committee for Preservation of <br /> Human Rights and Against Racial and Religious Intolerance. <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Kerr, Myers, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> J. Matter of Proposed Peralta Sports Complex and Expansion of the Marina <br /> Square Shopping Center. <br /> Mike Oliver, City Manger, said two weeks ago Reynolds & Brown made a <br /> presentation to the City Council and the School District on this <br /> matter. He said the proposal involves the use of the existing Pacific <br /> High School Sports complex for the expansion of Marina Square and <br /> relocation and construction of a new sports facility in the Peralta <br /> Area. He said the City Council and the School District wished to <br /> review this matter, via the City-School District Liaison Committee and <br /> involve the Recreation and Parks Commission, the School District Real <br /> Estate Division, and other parties as necessary. He said the City <br /> Manager and the School Superintendent were directed to begin the review <br /> process. He said a number of actions must take place in order for the <br /> project to move forward, and the items on tonight's agenda are <br /> background items that will allow the development to proceed, but only <br /> if there is an agreement in September/October to pursue the project <br />
