NEW BUSINESS <br /> A. Resolution of Award of Contract for Washington Avenue/Lewelling <br /> Boulevard Improvements, Project No. 92-8354. Removed from Consent <br /> Calendar to New Business. <br /> Bill Silva, City Engineer, reported that the City Council had approved <br /> advertising of this project at the last City Council meeting and, in <br /> order to meet the deadline for allocation of State funds, bids had been <br /> opened on Friday, June 12, 1992. He said the low bid, including all <br /> the additive alternates, is under the Engineer's Estimate by 10%. He <br /> said the bids have been checked and found to be complete, and he <br /> recommended award of the contract to Wingard Engineering. <br /> Council Member Kerr said this project will bring the intersection to <br /> Level of Service C and there have already been improvements in traffic <br /> flow at the intersection. <br />
