NEW BUSINESS <br /> Items Removed from the Consent Calendar <br /> 6A. The minutes of the meeting of June 15, 1992, were removed from the <br /> Consent Calendar to New Business, and approved as amended. <br /> Council Member Perry requested that the minutes of the meeting of June <br /> 15, 1992, be amended to reflect that Resolution No. 92-169, Adopting <br /> the 1992-93 Budget, was amended to move the $5,000 funding for the <br /> Classical Philharmonic Orchestra to the Special Non-Departmental <br /> Contingency Fund. <br /> 6E. Resolution Amending Title 6, Chapter 4 of the San Leandro <br /> Administrative Code Relating to Fees and Charges for Services Provided <br /> by City Departments (amends Administrative Code to provide for payment <br /> of $10 fee for employment verification by Personnel Department) . <br /> Council Member Kerr asked why a $10 charge for employment verification <br /> was proposed. He asked if other cities did this and if this would only <br /> be charged for multiple requests. Mary Kobayashi , Assistant Personnel <br /> Director, said the Personnel Department receives approximately 600 <br /> requests per year, primarily from lending institutions. She said this <br /> is a new fee, and it is intended to cover the one-half hour of staff <br /> time required to process each employment verification. <br />
