Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - August 3, 1992 Page - 2 - <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS (continued) <br /> Tim Mallard thanked the City Council for their support for the event <br /> and for their support of the Alzheimer's Association. He said the Bay <br /> Area Chapter is responsible for five counties in the Bay Area. He said <br /> there are 135,000 Alzheimer's patients in those five counties, and the <br /> organization helps work assisting a cure and also finding the families <br /> that need support. <br /> Rick Richards also introduced two other group leaders in the audience, <br /> Gordon Galvan and Esther Holcomb. <br /> Pam Richards said her mother had Alzheimer's disease and died on <br /> January 31st of this year. She said she had planted Forget-Me-Nots in <br /> memory of her mother and presented members of the City Council with <br /> packets of Forget-Me-Not seeds. <br /> C. Mayor Karp read a letter from Mark Adcock, former Assistant to the City <br /> Manager, announcing his appointment as Town Administrator in <br /> Chillicothe, Missouri . Mr. Adcock thanked the City Council for their <br /> support and confidence in staff and said he appreciated their sense of <br /> responsibility and devotion to the community. <br /> 6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> A. The minutes of the meeting of July 20, 1992 were approved as submitted. <br /> B. Resolution No. 92-220, Resolution Approving License Agreement Between <br /> the City of San Leandro and Carole Silva-Sabino DBA Sabino's (permits <br /> use of public property for the placement of tables, chairs, and trash <br /> receptacles) . (2207) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Perry, who moved its adoption, seconded by <br /> Council Member Polvorosa, and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Kerr, Myers, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> C.
