Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - August 3, 1992 Page - 2 - PUBLIC COMMENTS (continued) Tim Mallard thanked the City Council for their support for the event and for their support of the Alzheimer's Association. He said the Bay Area Chapter is responsible for five counties in the Bay Area. He said there are 135,000 Alzheimer's patients in those five counties, and the organization helps work assisting a cure and also finding the families that need support. Rick Richards also introduced two other group leaders in the audience, Gordon Galvan and Esther Holcomb. Pam Richards said her mother had Alzheimer's disease and died on January 31st of this year. She said she had planted Forget-Me-Nots in memory of her mother and presented members of the City Council with packets of Forget-Me-Not seeds. C. Mayor Karp read a letter from Mark Adcock, former Assistant to the City Manager, announcing his appointment as Town Administrator in Chillicothe, Missouri . Mr. Adcock thanked the City Council for their support and confidence in staff and said he appreciated their sense of responsibility and devotion to the community. 6. CONSENT CALENDAR A. The minutes of the meeting of July 20, 1992 were approved as submitted. B. Resolution No. 92-220, Resolution Approving License Agreement Between the City of San Leandro and Carole Silva-Sabino DBA Sabino's (permits use of public property for the placement of tables, chairs, and trash receptacles) . (2207) Introduced by Council Member Perry, who moved its adoption, seconded by Council Member Polvorosa, and carried by the following called vote: AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Kerr, Myers, Perry, Polvorosa; Mayor Karp ( 7 ) NOES: None ( 0 ) ABSENT: None ( 0 ) C. Resolution Approving Lease Agreement Between the City of San Leandro and the Mulford Gardens Improvement Association for Mulford Park (provides for the renewal of the City's 20-year lease of the Mulford Park property) .
