Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - August 17, 1992 Page - 15 - <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) <br /> There being no comments from the public, on motion of Council Member <br /> Polvorosa, seconded by Council Member Perry, and carried unanimously, <br /> the Public Hearing was closed. <br /> The City Council moved to approve the Resolution. <br /> City Attorney Steve Meyers noted this required a two-thirds vote and <br /> felt this required six votes. <br /> There was a motion to table the Resolution. <br /> It was then determined that five votes constituted a two-thirds <br /> majority, and it was moved by Council Member Polvorosa, seconded by <br /> Council Member Faria, and carried unanimously, to reconsider the <br /> matter. <br /> It was moved by Council Member Polvorosa, seconded by Council Member <br /> Faria, and carried unanimously, to remove the tabled vote. <br /> The following Resolution was then introduced: <br /> - Resolution No. 92-241 , Resolution of Necessity Authorizing the <br /> Acquisition of Certain Property for Measure B - Marina Boulevard <br /> Widening and Teagarden Street Extension Projects and Finding That <br /> the Public Interest and Necessity Require the Proposed Project, That <br /> the Location Thereof Causes the Least Private Injury, That the <br /> Subject Property is Necessary for the Proposed Project (Vacant <br /> Property at Marina Boulevard and Teagarden Street - Southern Pacific <br /> Transportation Company) (authorizes the City Attorney to petition <br /> the court to begin eminent domain proceedings against Southern <br /> Pacific Transportation Company) . (1206) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Kerr, who moved its adoption, seconded <br /> by Council Member Faria, and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Faria, Kerr, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 5 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: Council Members Corbett and Myers ( 2 ) <br />
