Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - October 5, 1992 Page - 10 - <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) <br /> There being no comments from the public, on motion of Council Member <br /> Myers, seconded by Council Member Perry, and carried unanimously, the <br /> Public Hearing was closed. <br /> The following Motion was then introduced: <br /> - Resolution No. 92-281, Resolution Approving Revised Community <br /> Development Block Grant Final Submission Statement and List of <br /> Additional Projects and Activities and Authorizing Execution and <br /> Submission Thereof by the City Manager (revises CDBG budget to add <br /> activities which provide for economic development) . (2096) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Corbett, who moved its adoption, <br /> seconded by Council Member Perry, and carried by the following <br /> called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Myers, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 6 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: Council Member Kerr ( 1 ) <br /> 9. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> A. Council Member Myers said last weekend was very athletic. He said the <br /> Alzheimer's Walk was a tremendous success -- 500 to 700 people <br /> participated. He said Washington Manor Day in the Park had been the <br /> best yet, and the softball game had been fun for everyone. <br /> B. Council Member Corbett concurred that it was fun to get together with <br /> the community. She said there was an active cheering section for the <br /> softball game, and Barbara Samaniego did a fine job as pinch runner. <br /> C. Council Member Perry said she served as second baseman. She suggested <br /> a softball game between the City and the School District as a <br /> fundraiser. <br /> D. Council Member Perry noted that she has tickets for the Fall Luncheon <br /> in support of the Meals on Wheels program, to be held on Thursday, <br /> October 8. <br /> E. Council Member Perry said she was pleased the Police Department is <br /> conducting a fingerprinting of children program at the Community <br /> Library on Saturday, October 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. <br /> F. Council Member Perry noted there would be a gang awareness program at <br /> the Library on November 18, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. , sponsored by the <br /> Partnership for Youth Safety Committee, which is a very active <br /> committee. <br />
