Miriam Walsh, 18313 Pepper Street, Castro Valley, said he and his wife <br /> volunteer at the Fairmont Animal Shelter, and he asked if the City is <br /> prepared to take action to make the no-feeding signs effective. He <br /> said someone is needed to issue citations for feeding the animals or <br /> the signs will not be effective. <br /> J. Lee Ness, 2321 Belvedere Avenue, said he is a 27-year resident of San <br /> Leandro and a pet owner. He said he feels the City did not have any <br /> other choice. He said they had a big problem and they had to do <br /> something. He said there was no way the Marina area could support <br /> 2,500 to 5,000 squirrels. <br /> 6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> A. The minutes of the meeting of September 21, 1992 were approved as <br /> submitted. <br /> B. Resolution No. 92-278, Resolution Approving Amendment to Joint Exercise <br /> of Powers Agreement for Waste Management (amends the original Joint <br /> Powers Agreement and clarifies the powers of local agencies) . (2047) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Polvorosa, who moved its adoption, <br /> seconded by Council Member Myers, and carried by the following called <br /> vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Myers, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 6 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: Council Member Kerr ( 1 ) <br /> C.
