Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - November 9, 1992 Page - 3 - <br /> NEW BUSINESS (continued) <br /> Council Member Corbett questioned a replacement's ability to be brought <br /> up to speed quickly enough. <br /> Mayor Karp suggested naming the balance of the 71 people on the list as <br /> Alternates. <br /> Council Member Corbett asked if a motion could be made to change the <br /> process. <br /> City Attorney Steve Meyers said, if the City Council wanted to provide <br /> for Alternates, they should direct the City Manager as to what type of <br /> process they desired, and the matter should be brought before them at <br /> their next meeting. <br /> Mayor Karp suggested bringing the names of five Alternates to the next <br /> City Council Meeting. <br /> Council Member Polvorosa said Homeowners' Association representatives <br /> not initially selected should be Alternates. <br /> In response to a question from Council Member Perry, staff said no one <br /> who was nominated declined the appointment. <br /> City Manager Mike Oliver asked if the City Council wished him to bring <br /> the names of those ranked Number 32 to 36 back as Alternates. Council <br /> Member Corbett said this would should the rank order of the nominees <br /> and the City Council had agreed not to do that. <br /> Council Member Perry requested that the City Council vote on the <br /> original motion to appoint members to the Public Advisory Task Force on <br /> City Finances. <br />
