RESOLUTION NO. 91-7 (2332) RESOLUTION APPROVING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT AGREEMENT WITH BOC GROUP, INC. 1588 AND 1592 DOOLITTLE DRIVE RELATING TO MASTER PLAN WIDENING OF DOOLITTLE DRIVE Introduced by Council Member Santos who moved its adoption, seconded by Council Member Corbett and carried by the following called vote: AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; ( 6 ) NOES: None ( 0 ) ABSENT: Mayor Karp ( 1 ) D. Resolution Approving Issuance of Building Permits at 350 San Leandro Boulevard Without Improvement of Park Street Frontage. Council Member Corbett asked what power the City would have to require the building of sidewalks on the Park Street frontage in the future. Steve Meyers, City Attorney, said the City Council has the authority to order construction of sidewalks at any time. He said the Resolution also specifies the City's ability to order construction of sidewalks in the future. Dick Randall , City Manager, said the recommendation is to issue Building Permits without improvement of the Park Street frontage because the street widening and other requirements for the Park Street area may change based on the outcome of the North Area Specific Plan and Peralta Study Area. He said sidewalks could be constructed when those studies are complete.
