Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - April 1, 1991 Page - 4 - <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS (continued) <br /> Vivian Franceschini , said her daughter is fearful at school and there <br /> are major problems. She said she, herself, was accosted by 30 kids at <br /> the high school and has received calls at home. She said a Discipline <br /> Code exists but is not being put into effect. She said people are moving <br /> out of town as a result of their displeasure with the schools. <br /> The following motion was then introduced: <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 91-22 (1156) <br /> MOTION APPROVING APPOINTMENT OF A <br /> COMMUNITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON YOUTH <br /> On motion by Council Member Glaze who moved its approval , seconded by Council <br /> Member Perry and carried by the following called vote, the City Council approved <br /> the concept of a community advisory committee on youth and authorized the City <br /> and San Leandro Unified School District Liaison Committee to make recommendations <br /> for the appointment of members. <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> 5. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> A. The minutes of the meeting of March 18, 1991 were approved as submitted. <br /> B. RESOLUTION NO. 91-44 (2614) <br /> RESOLUTION OF FINAL ACCEPTANCE AND <br /> RELEASE OF CONTRACT BONDS FOR <br /> DAVIS STREET SOUNDWALLS, EAST OF NIMITZ FREEWAY <br /> PROJECT NO. 86-577 <br /> Introduced by Council Member Santos who moved its adoption, seconded by Council <br /> Member Corbett and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br />
