Matter of Nomination of Member to Human Resources Commission (District <br /> 6) - Cecilia Thomas. <br /> Council Member Santos said Ms. Thomas is a graduate of East Catholic <br /> High School in Detroit, Michigan, and has been a resident of the Bay <br /> Area since November 1976. She attended Laney College 1977-78. She <br /> relocated to San Leandro in May 1989. She is the mother of three <br /> children. One son is currently attending San Leandro High, and her two <br /> step-children are graduates of San Leandro High School . She is a parent <br /> member of the San Leandro Youth Safety Committee and is employed by <br /> Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, Research and Development Department in Union <br /> City. <br /> The following Motion was then introduced: <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 91-74 (2024) <br /> NOMINATION OF MEMBER TO <br /> HUMAN RESOURCES COMMISSION <br /> (DISTRICT 6) <br /> On motion by Council Member Santos who moved its approval , seconded by Council <br /> Member Corbett and carried by the following called vote, the City Council <br /> nominated Cecilia Thomas to the Human Resources Commission, District 6. <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br />
