MINUTE ORDER NO. 91-85 (1016) MATTER OF NOMINATION OF MEMBER TO PERSONNEL RELATIONS BOARD (AT LARGE) DR. JOSHUA FONG On motion by Council Member Corbett, who moved its approval , seconded by Council Member Glaze, and carried by the following called vote, the City Council approved the nomination of Dr. Joshua Fong to the Personnel Relations Board, At Large. AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; Mayor Karp ( 7 ) NOES: None ( 0 ) ABSENT: None ( 0 ) 8. PUBLIC HEARINGS A. Matter of HUD Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) Grantee Performance Report for Fiscal Year 1990-91. This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, John Klein, Development Department Housing Coordinator, said the City applies to the Federal government each year for Community Development Block Grant Funds (CDBG) and then is required to provide a Grantee performance Report at the end of each year. He said the Housing and Urban Development Department (HUD) requires a Public Hearing on the submission of the Report. He said the funds used during 1990-91 equaled $729, 117. He described the major programs which had been included in the 1990-91 fiscal year, including the North Area Program, the Rehabilitation Program, and a variety of community facilities programs, such as the Davis Street Child Care Center. Council Member Perry commended Mr. Klein and the City on its utilization of CDBG Funds.
