ORDINANCE NO. 91-024 (1413) <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4-3-315 <br /> CHAPTER 3, TITLE IV, OF THE <br /> SAN LEANDRO MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> RELATING TO MECHANICAL OR ELECTRONIC AMUSEMENT DEVICES <br /> Introduced by Council Member Corbett, who moved that it be passed to print, <br /> seconded by Council Member Faria, and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> H. Matter of City Support for Alameda County Single-Entity, Service- <br /> Delivery Area for Job Training Programs. <br /> Council Member Perry noted that she had attended a meeting to discuss <br /> designation of a service-delivery area for Alameda County held by the <br /> State Public Training Coordinating Council . She said she will provide <br /> the information to the City Council from that meeting. She said <br /> agreement on a consortium idea was not approved because the City of <br /> Hayward pulled out of the group. Although Hayward said they were <br /> willing to reconsider, the group could not come to terms with the City <br /> of Berkeley. She said a decision was made for Alameda County to be the <br /> service-delivery area. Funding will come to the County, with a <br /> governing board made up of city representatives reporting directly to <br /> the Board of Supervisors. She said there will be a meeting to discuss <br /> exactly what the concept of such a board means, how members are <br /> appointed, who is elected, etc. She said at this point she was <br /> requesting that the City Council provide her with their approval of the <br /> consortium idea and go on record as supporting a service-delivery area <br /> with the County. <br /> The following Motion was then introduced: <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 91-103 (2070) <br /> MATTER OF CITY SUPPORT FOR <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY SINGLE-ENTITY, SERVICE-DELIVERY AREA FOR <br /> JOB TRAINING PROGRAMS <br /> On motion by Council Member Perry who moved its approval , seconded by Council <br /> Member Polvorosa and carried by the following called vote, the City Council <br /> approved the concept of an Alameda County Single-Entity, Service-Delivery Area <br /> for Job Training Programs. <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 6 ) <br /> NOES: Council Member Glaze ( 1 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br />
