Council Member Glaze noted the reasons for his vote on the matter of PD-88- <br /> 5, wording for the Reynolds and Brown site. He said that in no way was this <br /> a reflection on Reynolds and Brown nor were the conditions a reflection on <br /> Reynolds and Brown but rather on commercial development in the future. He <br /> thanked Dan Gray of Reynolds and Brown for his patience and cooperation in <br /> this matter. He also said that he had voted against the conditions because <br /> he felt that the initial conditions which had been more stringent were more <br /> appropriate. <br /> f. Council Member Suchman noted a staff report related to emergency lighting <br /> for various City facilities and said that he felt that staff should be <br /> directed to go ahead with installation of the lighting prior to the 1990-91 <br /> budget process. City Council consensus was to direct staff to prepare plans <br /> and specifications for the work and to place those plans and specifications <br /> on a future City Council Agenda. <br /> g. Council Member Perry said that she was concerned with the United Cable <br /> installation project in Washington Square, particularly trenching problems. <br /> Staff indicated that a report would be presented to the City Council within <br /> the next month or so on this matter. <br /> h. Council Member Faria discussed a fire which occurred on December 31 , 1989, <br /> and commended the Fire Department for the way in which they handled the fire <br /> and congratulated them and said that they knew their business. <br /> i . Council Member Glaze recommended that the property owners in the area of the <br /> fire be informed of the type of fire-fighting technique that was used in <br /> fighting the fire. <br /> j .
