Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - January 16, 1990 Page - 2 - ORDINANCES: ORDINANCE NO. 90-01 (1315) AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION OF COUNCIL MEMBERS Introduced by Council Member Jardin who moved its adoption, seconded by Council Member Suchman and carried by the following called vote: AYES: Council Members Faria, Glaze, Jardin, Perry, Santos, Suchman; Mayor Karp ( 7 ) NOES: None ( 0 ) ABSENT: None ( 0 ) Resolution Accepting Work for Washington Manor Park Bathhouse and Restrooms, Project No. 88-8636. The City Council discussed this matter and asked why the project had taken so long and why so many extensions were needed. They also asked if liquidated damages had been charged. Carl Banke, 4824 Shawna Court, Castro Valley, the contractor on the project, spoke and said he felt the job had gotten off to a bad start and the plans were unclear. He said he felt the punch list was excessive and called for items that had not been required in the original contract. The City Council directed that a staff report be prepared on this project explaining why it had taken so long and what the differences in the final contract and the original contract were and that this report and this matter be brought back to the City Council Meeting of February 5, 1990.
