Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - January 16, 1990 Page - 5 - PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) : come before the City Council some time ago. He said the matter had been discussed with businesses, property owners, and the Post Office. He said six months ago it was found impossible to rename the entire street dueto logistics and that the City Council committee developed a tentative plan to leave Fairmont Drive as is, change Halcyon Drive to Fairmont Drive, change Floresta to West Fairmont, and leave Farnsworth Street as is. He discussed the various code requirements for street re-naming and described how the streets received the names they now have. He said a meeting had been held with the residents and property and business owners on all of the streets involved, and due to the substantial impact on the people on those streets, such as changing the addresses on all of their documents, etc. It was the unanimous recommendation of the City Council committee to drop this matter at this time. Staff, however, was directed to look into changing the numbers on eight houses on Halcyon Drive that were four-digits instead of three- digits. The Hearing was then opened to the public. Florence Ruha, 3745 Anza Way, President, Floresta Homeowners Association, thanked the City Council committee for listening to the people and for not changing the street names. Ulrich Christiansen, 808 Floresta Boulevard, thanked the City Council for the Hearing and for the time spent on this matter. There being no further comment, on motion of Council Member Suchman, seconded by Council Member Glaze and carried unanimously, the Public Hearing was again closed. On motion of Council Member Perry, seconded by Council Member Suchman and carried unanimously, the City Council moved to leave the streets as they are now named and directed staff to report on the possibility of changing the numbers of eight houses, as requested by the Post Office. MISCELLANEOUS: a. Council Member Perry asked when the neighborhood meeting regarding the Slurry Seal Project would be scheduled with the Spring Lake Drive area residents. b. Mr. Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, San Leandro, spoke on the matter of CU-64-25 (8th Modification) , and thanked the City Council for the three-year limitation on the Manor Baptist School 's Conditional Use of Manor Baptist Church.
