Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - FEBRUARY 20, 1990 Page - 5 - <br /> RESOLUTIONS (continued) <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 90-24 (2652) <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br /> AND CALLING FOR BIDS FOR <br /> HALCYON DRIVE TREE REMOVAL AND FENCE CONSTRUCTION <br /> PROJECT NO. 90-8336 <br /> Introduced by Council Member Perry who moved its adoption, seconded by Council <br /> Member Glaze and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Faria, Glaze, .Jardin, Perry, Santos, Suchman; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 90-25 (1690) <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PARCEL MAP 4727 <br /> 444 DOOLITTLE DRIVE AT ADAMS AVENUE <br /> Introduced by Council Member Santos who moved its adoption, seconded by Council <br /> Member Jardin and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Faria, Glaze, Jardin, Perry, Santos, Suchman; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> The City Council asked a number of questions regarding handicapped access to <br /> polling places, including how the handicapped could vote if their precinct were <br /> not accessible. The City Council requested that wording be added to the Public <br /> Notice to be published in the paper indicating that the public could contact the <br /> City Clerk's Office for information on handicapped access. Val Gill , 14741 Craft <br /> Avenue, noted that there are many senior citizens in San Leandro and people who <br /> are afraid to go out and he felt they should all vote by mail . <br /> The City Council had further discussion on the need for handicapped access and <br /> said they would like to be able to provide 100% handicapped accessibility in the <br /> future. On motion of Council Member Perry, seconded by Council Member Santos, <br /> with Council Member Glaze voting no, the following Resolution was introduced: <br />
