Letter from Alice Sarafian, Chair of the Human Resources Commission, <br /> Recommending Approval of Resolution Authorizing Submission of Claim to <br /> Metropolitan Transportation Commission, Alameda County, Measure B, for <br /> Funding of Subsidized Paratransit Program. <br /> Council Member Perry asked why the projected number of rides was down to <br /> 24,000 when the existing rides showed 32,000. Nancy Hillis, Recreation <br /> Department, explained that MTC has noted there will be a decrease in funding <br /> so projections for ridership have been downgraded accordingly. <br /> The following Resolution was then introduced: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 90-31 (1980/2121) <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF CLAIM TO THE <br /> METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY MEASURE B <br /> FOR SUBSIDIZED TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM <br /> Introduced by Council Member Suchman who moved its adoption, seconded by Council <br /> Member Faria and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Faria, Glaze, Jardin, Perry, Santos, Suchman; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br /> a. Matter of Amending Resolution of Necessity No. 89-273 to Modify Exhibits A- <br /> 1 and B-1, Thereof (Phase II Properties) (provides for revision of Exhibits <br /> A-1 and B-1 to acquire an area of 9,931 square feet at 797 Marina Boulevard <br /> instead of an area of 10,102 square feet) . <br /> This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, <br /> Bill Silva, City Engineer, noted the Public Hearing was to provide for a <br /> minor correction to Exhibits attached to this Resolution at a previous City <br /> Council Meeting. He said the property is located at the corner of Marina <br /> Boulevard and Alvarado Street and that the maps in the City Council 's Agenda <br /> also gave the proper legal description. <br /> The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> There being no comments from the public, on motion of Council Member Jardin, <br /> seconded by Council Member Perry, and carried unanimously, the Public Hearing <br /> was closed. <br /> The following Resolution was then introduced: <br />
