Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - May 7, 1990 Page - 10 - <br /> MISCELLANEOUS: <br /> a. Matter of Adoption of Findings, PD-89-8 GDP/PDP; 342 Marina Boulevard; David <br /> J. Reichel ; R-5 (Multiple Residential ) District. On motion of Council Member <br /> Santos, seconded by Council Member Polvorosa and carried unanimously, the <br /> Findings of Fact for PD-89-8 GDP/PDP were approved. Council Member Santos <br /> also requested that a future Work Session discussion be held regarding <br /> minimum size and marketable size of dwelling units in San Leandro and related <br /> matters. <br /> b. Matter of Appointment of Council Members Corbett and Faria to City Council <br /> Marina/Golf Course Committee. On motion of Council Member Glaze, seconded <br /> by Council Member Santos and carried unanimously, Council Members Corbett <br /> and Faria were appointed to the Marina/Golf Course Committee to replace <br /> former Council Members Suchman and Jardin. <br /> c. Matter of Appointment of Vice Mayor. Mayor Karp awarded a plaque to Council <br /> Member Perry for the excellent performance of her duties as Vice Mayor for <br /> fiscal year 1989-90. On motion of Council Member Santos, seconded by Council <br /> Member Faria, with Council Member Glaze abstaining, Council Member Glaze <br /> was appointed Vice Mayor. <br /> d. Matter of Appointment of Unreinforced Masonry Building Citizens Advisory <br /> Committee. On motion of Council Member Faria, seconded by Council Member <br /> Santos and carried unanimously, the following persons were appointed to the <br /> Unreinforced Masonry Building Citizens Advisory Committee: William Jardin, <br /> Chair; Henry Deadrich; Jerry Flory; Jim Goggin; David C. Jorgensen; Michael <br /> Pretto; and Loren Worm. <br /> e. Matter of Update on City Solid Waste/Refuse/Recycling Activities. On motion <br /> of Council Member Faria, seconded by Council Member Santos and carried <br /> unanimously, staff was authorized to negotiate a Memorandum of Understanding <br /> with the Oro Loma Sanitary District regarding the responsibility for planning <br /> and implementation of AB 939 as it affects recycling methods for their <br /> service area and to include a provision that would obligate the two <br /> jurisdictions to meet and confer toward providing similar recycling programs <br /> for both service areas of San Leandro. <br /> f. Margaret Homberg, 2100 Lewelling Boulevard #33, expressed her concern about <br /> model airplane flying at the Citation property. Mayor Karp suggested that <br /> she contact the Police Department the next time this occurs and asked the <br /> City Manager to have the Police Department respond as quickly as possible <br /> when these calls come in. <br /> g. Peter Di Gregorio, 3822 Carmel Way, invited the City Council to a Memorial <br /> Day service at the Chapel of the Chimes, Hayward, on May 28, at 1 :00 p.m. <br /> h. Council Member Santos asked what was planned and what could be done to remove <br /> the litter on the property at 1048 Davis Street. <br /> i . Council Member Santos indicated that he had received complaints about lack <br /> of Police Department enforcement of the red zones on Pacific Avenue and asked <br /> that it be checked out. <br />
