Matter of PD-89-1; Planned Unit Development; General Development Plan and <br /> Precise Development Plan Combined; to Construct a Shopping Center Consisting <br /> of Four Separate Buildings Including a Burger King Restaurant; at the <br /> Southeast Corner of Lewelling Boulevard and Washington Avenue; Assessor's <br /> Parcel Number 412-6-3, 10 and 11; C-2 (Light Commercial ) District; Pacific <br /> Development Group. Continued from July 2, 1990, City Council Meeting. Staff <br /> is requesting that this matter be continued to a date uncertain. <br /> Letters regarding a Drive-Through, Fast-Food Establishment at the <br /> Intersection of Washington Avenue and Lewelling Boulevard from: <br /> - Robert G. Leigh, President, Washington Home Owners Association <br /> (November 21, 1989) . <br /> - Kent W. Myers, President, Associated Home Owners of San Leandro <br /> (January 24, 1990 and June 20, 1990) . <br /> - Florence Ruha, President, Floresta Homeowners Association, Inc. <br /> (February 5 and February 17, 1990) . <br /> This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, <br /> Deputy City Clerk Caroline Rueda indicated that a letter was received from <br /> the Pacific Development Group, requesting that the Public Hearing be <br /> continued to a September City Council Meeting. <br /> On motion of Council Member Glaze, seconded by Council Member Polvorosa and <br /> carried unanimously, the Public Hearing was continued to the September 4, <br /> 1990, City Council Meeting. <br /> b. Matter of United Cable TV Annual Review. <br /> - Letter from Henry J. Willis, 1321 Mersey Avenue. <br /> This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the United Cable TV <br /> Annual Review, Assistant to the City Manager Mark Adcock indicated that the <br /> purpose of this Public Hearing was to determine if there were any significant <br /> problems in the cable company's performance under the Franchise Agreement. <br /> If there were any deficiencies, staff would review them with the cable <br /> company and ask that they be handled within a reasonable period of time. <br /> In response to Council Member Perry's question about the number of complaints <br /> received, Mr. Adcock indicated that the City had received no more than two <br /> or three per month. <br /> Co u ncil Member Glaze asked whethe r the cable company was required to notif y <br /> their subscribers that the annual review would be held this evening and, if <br /> not, whether the City could impose such a requirement in the future. <br />
